Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get a better exchange rate with Marks & Spencer Travel Money service online or buying travel money in a branch or bureau de change?

Not usually! Many online travel money providers can offer better exchange rates than in high street branches or a bureau de change. It pays to buy travel money online, even if you still prefer to collect your currency from a high street store. Some supermarkets offer a discounted rate if you use their loyalty card.

Do all supermarkets deliver currency?

No, but most do. Currently, the following supermarkets deliver currency (all use Royal Mail special delivery):

  • Tesco
  • Asda
  • Sainsbury’s
Which supermarkets offer a buyback service for left over euros?

All supermarkets have a buyback service for foreign currency exchange if they offer that currency.
